We are currently looking for an Office Assistant/Interpreter to join our project team based in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. The position is offered on a contract basis for at least 23 months. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing administrative, reporting and interpreting/translating support to the team. In addition to a degree in law, political science or a related field, you will benefit in this role from proven professional experience, a good knowledge of North Macedonia current affairs and excellent communication skills in English and Macedonian.

You’ll be working within the European Union grant-funded ‘EU Support for the Rule of Law’ project. In this first component of the project, the focus is on improving the ability of justice institutions to deliver justice with transparency and accountability.

Your portfolio of activities

  • Providing administrative, logistical and linguistic support to the project leader and team
  • Supporting the deployment of short-term experts
  • Organising workshops and seminars and supporting the local expert team   
  • Interpreting and translating to and from English and Macedonian
  • Writing support documents in Macedonian and English

Your skills-set

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Strong organisational and office management skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, communication platforms)
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good presentation skills

Please note:
