Project description
This short training programme covered substantive and skills-based training for twenty officials of the Tanzanian Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG) and was the first CILC project in Tanzania. Our peer-to-peer approach for this project was to involve Dutch experts with different backgrounds, as well as a Ugandan expert from the Law Development Center (LDC), who has been one of the beneficiaries of our Nuffic funded project in Uganda. The involvement of the latter illustrates our ongoing efforts to combine capacity building with support for regional networking and cooperation. A significant output of the project was the training manual on principles of human rights and good governance with special focus on the Tanzanian situation.
