On 22 July 2016, the Parliament of Albania approved constitutional amendments which set the basis for judicial reform. This can be called not only a huge success for Albania, but also for the EURALIUS IV Mission. Through CILC, the Netherlands is one of the three EU partners in the project, next to Germany (represented by IRZ) and Austria (represented by AED). With the adopted constitutional amendments, the ground is now prepared for some fundamental reforms in the Albanian judicial system, a challenge in which Albania will again be supported by the EURALIUS IV Mission. CILC congratulates the Albanian Government and Parliament on this important step in the process of judicial reforms and expresses our gratitude to the expert team of the EURALIUS IV Mission, under the leadership of Dr. Rainer Deville, for the hard work done so far.
