On 29 May 2017, the Serbian Republic Public Prosecutor, Ms. Zagorka Dolovac, and the Chairman of the Netherlands Board of Prosecutors-General, Mr. Gerrit van der Burg, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an attempt to further enhance the judicial cooperation between the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office of Serbia and the Public Prosecution Service of the Netherlands. Under this MoU there will be an intensified bilateral exchange of information, as well as more cooperation in areas like transfer of criminal proceedings and joint investigations. The signing of the MoU took place in the framework of a working visit of Ms. Dolovac and her delegation to the Netherlands. During this visit, the Serbian delegation also met with Ms. Michèle Coninsx, President of EUROJUST, to discuss the state of play in the cooperation between Serbia and EUROJUST. The visit and the elaboration of the MoU was facilitated by the team of the IPA2014 project “International Cooperation in Criminal Justice: Prosecutor’s Network of the Western Balkans”.
