Delegates from the Chambers of enforcement officers from the five legal systems participating in the CILC BESp project, together with the Lead Expert and Project Director took part in the Permanent Council of UIHJ that was held as usual in Paris, France, the seat of the UIHJ on 28th-29th November 2024.
BESp Lead Expert Mr. Jos Uitdehaag presented the project and outlined the outcomes and achievements, as well as most recent events under the project.
Bridging to the Permanent Council, BESp held on 27th November 2024 a meeting with the Presidents from the Western Balkans for discussing the plans for future activities and making commitments till the end of the Project.
The BESp Project Director, Ms Zlaty Mihailova moderated one of the discussion panels dedicated to privacy and data protection and the implications for the daily operations of enforcement officers.
The workshop allowed participants to exchange on the learnings from the conducted training needs analysis and webinars that were held under the EU PACE Project for EU Member states, that candidate countries, as well other Western Balkan countries also attended.
The discussion continued with the GDPR challenges for implementation and the perspectives for the future.
