Last week (18-20 September), the second round of the Matra South Training Programme on Legislation was successfully completed with a three-day training course in Rabat. Moroccan experts gave very interesting introductions on the 2011 Constitution of Morocco and specific issues as the separation of powers, the independence of the judiciary, the supremacy of international treaties and gender equality, all in the light of the new Constitution. As usual, there were lively discussions and inspiring exchanges of ideas and views. Dutch deputy ambassador Klara Scheepers presented the certificates to the participants. The third round of this training programme will be conducted in 2014.
