Uganda: closed
Project description
This project built on the results of the former Uganda Police and Prison project implemented by the University of Applied Sciences Leiden and CILC. Under the former project UPF and UPS undertook reform initiatives such as strategic plans, introduction of Competence Based Learning, staff training and curricula review. A remaining key challenge was the lack of key organisational policies to support the training function.
This project was designed to provide support for:
- strengthening the organisational and training policies for the training schools;
- enhancing staff capacity for training, research and management of training function;
- further developing identified curricula and training materials;
- qualifying the training schools for accreditation;
- strengthening cooperation with other training schools.
