The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is to improve legislative processes at the central level of government as well as the representation and reporting function with special emphasis on the Ministry of Justice in regard of EU accession.
The purposes of this contract are as follows:
(1) Strengthen the capacity of major actors in the government with special emphasis on the Ministry of Justice in order to increase the role of evidence in decision and law making processes and to create opportunities for affected interests to be consulted at an early stage.
(2) Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Justice in its representation and reporting function to international courts and international organisations.
(3) Strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia in further developing a centre for high quality translation of legal texts at Legislative Herald of Georgia – MATSNE.
