In 1995, I joined CILC as a temporary project coordinator for university cooperation projects in Russia and have been with the organisation ever since. Through the years I’ve served as a project manager, a senior project manager and an international project advisor in Moldova. I was appointed CILC’s deputy director in 2012.
As a graduate from the Institute of East European Law and Russian Studies, I have been responsible for many legal cooperation projects in the countries of the former Soviet Union since 1995. This has included serving as a resident international project advisor for three years in a justice reform project in Moldova. I’ve also been building up and leading CILC’s portfolio in the countries of the Western Balkans since 2001. In addition to my involvement in projects in these two regions, I dedicate time to my work as one of CILC’s two board members.
I believe that by cooperating with the EU’s neighbours and future EU members in Justice and Home Affairs, we can help bring about stability and security in these countries and Europe. This is to everybody’s benefit. Working in cooperation enables us to foster both the development of a favourable climate for entrepreneurs and a just society. It also enables us to jointly fight organised crime and to ensure an efficient and effective regime for international legal cooperation.
