Georgia Canura

I joined CILC as a Project Officer in 2024. In this role I work alongside senior project managers to plan, implement and report on projects focused on criminal justice reform in the Western Balkans and North Africa.

Experience and expertise

Before joining CILC, I completed a Master’s Degree in International and Transnational Criminal Law. This gave me a good understanding of the challenges in addressing cross-border justice issues and highlighted the possible avenues for fostering meaningful legal cooperation.

Passion and vision

In my current role, the experience gained in project management has given me a hands-on perspective on how legal cooperation translates into real-world impact. I believe that investing in capacity-building and driving systemic reform are the cornerstones of sustainable improvements in justice systems for local communities.
