Last week CILC’s work in Ukraine was featured in the Dutch Financial Times (Het Financieele Dagblad).
Despite the war our work in Ukraine continues. Since February 2022 we have still been organising trainings and other co-work sessions, both online and offline. In October we organised for example trainings on communication and ethics in Krakow, Poland for 40 Ukrainian judges. What are the main challenges Ukrainian judges face when ethics and integrity is at stake? How do they cope with undue influence? But also, what does it look like to work in the judiciary in Ukraine in war time?
Five of the participating judges were willing to give a personal insight in their daily life and work, their challenges, dilemmas and their commitment to improving the Ukrainian judiciary. Last week, these interviews were published in an extensive article in the Financial Times.
CILC is proud to be able to facilitate this work and to contribute to the further improvement of the Ukrainian judiciary.
