Key expert 1: Team Leader – 30 months
Qualifications and skills
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Law, or Political Science, or Public Administration, or another relevant field
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
General experience
- A minimum of 10 years‘ experience in a relevant sector
- Experience of leading and building teams. planning functions, elaboration and monitoring of work plans, meeting deadlines, assigning tasks, etc.
Specific experience
- A minimum of 5 years‘ experience in providing technical assistance in reinforcement of the Rule of Law
- Team leader experience
- Experience of operational management of at least one important development projects
- Experience of rule of law support project in developing countries.
- Experience of operational management of at least one important development projects funded by the EU will be considered as an advantage.
- Experience in collaborating with Universities, research intuitions will be considered as an advantage
- Experience in working in a sensitive political context country will be considered as an advantage
- Experience in working on the community level will be considered as an advantage
Key expert 2: Civic Rights – 7.8 months
Qualifications and skills
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Law, or Political science, or Civic Rights Or another discipline relevant to this assignment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
General professional experience
- A minimum of 10 years work experience in the Rule of Law sector. Civic education, or another relevant field
- Experience in institutional development planning and project management
- Experience in organising and managing large scale communication operations
- Experience of working in teams
Specific professional experience
- A minimum of 5 years‘ experience in Civic Rights
- Experience in organising and managing civic rights sensitisation, awareness raising
- Thorough understanding of the Rule of Law and protection of Human Rights
- Experience in Law Enforcement will be considered as an advantage
- Experience in working with local communities in developing countries will be considered as an advantage
- Experience in working in a sensitive political context country and culturally different country will be considered as advantages
- Experience in working on the community level will be considered as an advantage
- Experience of working in a developing country setting will be considered as an advantage
Key expert 3: Common Law— 5.6 months
Qualifications and skills
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Law (preferably common law system) or another discipline relevant to this assignment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
General professional experience
- A minimum of 10 years work experience in the justice sector, or another relevant field
- Thorough understanding of Common Law and Justice
- Experience of working in teams
Specific professional experience
- A minimum of 5 years‘ experience in Common Law
- Experience in working in a sensitive political context country and culturally different country will be considered as advantages
- Experience of working in African countries will be considered a an advantage
Key expert 4: Customary Law — 6.4 months
Qualifications and skills:
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a discipline relevant to this assignment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Computer literacy
General professional experience:
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in the Justice sector, or another relevant field
- Experience in working in a sensitive political context country and culturally different country will be considered as advantages
- Experience of working in teams
Specific professional experience:
- A minimum of 5 years‘ experience in Customary Law
- Experience in working with local communities in developing countries
- Thorough understanding of the Rule of Law and protection of Human Rights
