More than 250 participants gathered in the Law Faculty of Novi Sad, Serbia on the 5th April 2024, including representatives of the Supreme Court, Commercial Court of Appeal, Association of Banks, Ministry of Justice, university professors from all legal faculties in Serbia, Presidents and members of the Boards of the Chambers of Public Enforcement Officers (PEO) from Serbia and Montenegro, PEOs.
CILC Experts from the Netherlands and France presented the practice of enforcement agents in certifying facts and reporting and recording evidence. Accurate and impartial reporting of material facts has been practiced in 34 countries, including some of the countries in the Western Balkans.
Adopting this legal instrument in Serbia and Montenegro will significantly improve the lives of citizens and businesses giving them fair and binding evidence to avoid or accelerate lawsuits.
The Roundtable participants had very positive reactions and believe introducing statement of fact instrument will contribute to legal certainty and security in these countries.
